about

"Yuuuuge likes, like, extra yuuuuge! Just made it into my top 5 of 2016!!"

"Beatles + Buzzcocks + Cheap Trick + Big Star + Squeeze + Queens of the Stone Age = this record"

"Take It as You Leave is a standout. Intro conjures up the classic "Louie Louie" but from the 21st (or 22nd) century--and a whole lot better."

"I mean this as a compliment. Sounds like it should be a one-hit wonder. the Flys, Harvey Danger or whatever — I think your band makes me think of nostalgia and there's some airheads reality where you guys get a song on the radio that blows up and then you keep making good music... but people stop caring."

"It could’ve and maybe should’ve been on alternative radio sometime between 1994 and 1997. Neptune’s Daughter sounds like the unreleased single by 5 different bands I saw play at music festivals in the 90’s. "

"I like this more than your other bands. This is actually music I'd listen to."

"You guys totally rock!"

"California beach psychedelic"

"Sounds like the Beatles meets Weezer"

"I like Devolver. It had to take a LOT of work. thank god, you're playing this kind of music. Real music."

about

Droneyard California

Droneyard, a West Coast rock band active since 2014, arose from existential ennui and the desire to make the music they wished existed. They imagine an alternate musical multiverse where catchy, concise, pop songs with verses, choruses, middle eights, three-part vocal harmonies, and guitar feedback are more abundant than hydrogen.

Current lineup:
Robert Riley
Jesse Micek
Andy Lund
Jeff Zahos
